It's a Beautiful Day
We had a great day today, even though Kelli was sick. It was great just staying home, keeping my head out of the books, and spending the day together. Before lunch we went to a pumpkin patch and played and took some pictures, then we all went to White Rock Lake and played on a huge tree that touches the ground and watched sailboats. We threw big rocks in the water and explained to Eli that the huge shadows in the water weren't whales but shadows of the trees. Kai learned how to balance on the log with the big boys (Eli and me). With the Dallas skyscrapers in the background of the lake, we decided that tomorrow is going to be another great day; so we're going into the city (where the skyscrapers are) tomorrow for the first time since living here. At Kai's nap-time Kelli, Eli, and I sat down and watched Batman Begins. It's an awesome movie, I recommend it whether you like comic book heroes or not.
It's been a beautiful day. Praise God!
Pictures coming soon.

I thought those shadows in the water were whales. Are you sure about that, Rick? I think I may start a thread on the forum about that, because I really think you're wrong about that. I mean, you're wife is all talking about training the kids up in righteosness, and here you are trying to destroy Eli's imagination. What would Jonah have done if he thought that big shadow in the water was a tree? I tell you what, Ninevah sure as heck wouldn't have repented for that miniscule period of time. Think about that, brother.
